Our Appellate Practice Group handles final and interlocutory appeals in the five Florida District Courts of Appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, and the Eleventh Circuit, in a wide variety of substantive areas, including corporate law, real estate, intellectual property, and family law. We are also experienced in filing extraordinary writs, such as petitions for writ of certiorari challenging discovery orders. We associate with trial counsel to preserve the record for potential appeal, and draft substantive motions and memoranda on a contract basis.

Steven L. Schwarzberg, rated as AV® Preeminent™ 5.0 out of 5 by Martindale Hubbell, has served as counsel for a number of corporate and individual clients for more than 30 years. He specializes in handling litigation and trials in the areas of employment law as well as commercial, probate, appellate matters, intellectual property, corporate and real estate law. Steve regularly represents a broad spectrum of clients, private and public, in both Federal and State courts around the country, in the trial and appellate levels as well as before administrative agencies, arbitration panels, mediators and other alternative dispute forums.

Krisin M. Ahr practices complex commercial litigation, employment litigation and other civil matters. She has represented clients on post-judgment issues and appeals in State and Federal Courts. Kristin was recently appointed by the President of the Florida Bar to the Code & Rules of Evidence Committee (CREC).

Grace M. Murillo practices commercial litigation, appellate matters, marital and family law and employment law – including defending discrimination, retaliation, and harassment claims. She formerly clerked for the Honorable Robert M. Gross.

Julia Wyda concentrates her practice in the area of marital and family law and in a wide range of commercial litigation, appellate matters and employment law. Previously, Julia practiced with the firm of Sasser, Cestero & Sasser, P.A., where she dealt with complex family law matters.
