Donna M. Greenspan, AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell, focuses her practice on insurance coverage disputes and bad faith, employment law, business torts, and intellectual property litigation. Donna counsels and represents clients in complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts at both the trial court and appellate court level. Donna is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a Specialist in both Business Litigation and Appellate Practice. After graduating from law school at the top of her class, she clerked for the Honorable Barbara J. Pariente, now a Florida Supreme Court Justice.

Significant Representations
  • Lead EAPD attorney for insurer in seminal construction defect coverage case, U.S. Fire v. JSUB, 979 So. 2d 871, 878 (Fla. 2007), where Florida Supreme Court considered applicability of commercial general liability policy to faulty work of subcontractor.
  • As lead attorney for one of insurers in Liberty Mutual Ins. Co. v. Lone Star Industries, 290 Conn. 767 (Conn. 2009), argued to Connecticut Supreme Court the applicability of pollution exclusion to asbestos and silicosis claims.
  • Successfully defended claims arising under director and officer, professional liability, and commercial general liability policies.
  • Obtained summary judgment in multi-million dollar breach of contract claim in federal court.
  • Successfully moved to set aside a judgment, previously affirmed on appeal, that granted specific performance on a contract. The court not only set aside the judgment, but also dismissed the plaintiff's action with prejudice. Donna then successfully defended the order of dismissal on appeal.
  • Successfully represented clients in copyright and trademark infringement litigation.
